Course Synopsis:

Dental school prepares you to treat patients, but it doesn’t prepare you to sell a practice at maximum value. When the time comes to transition out of ownership, most dentists leave significant money on the table simply because they didn’t optimize their practice beforehand.

This course, “The Sell-Ready Blueprint: 20 Optimization Strategies to Practice Before Selling,” provides dentists with a step by step roadmap to maximize practice value and prepare for a successful transition. Participants will learn how to hire and structure associates, optimize hygiene and overhead metrics, evaluate laboratory and RCM costs, and leverage insurance negotiations and marketing to strengthen EBITDA. We also explore the role of consultants, IT security, and financial advisors in creating a sell-ready practice. Finally, we connect the dots between personal financial planning, lifestyle goals, and exit strategy.

The outcome is simple, doctors will walk away with clarity on what to measure, what to fix, and how to increase their freedom and practice value within 12 months.

Course Objective

To equip dentists and dental group owners with the optimization strategies, financial benchmarks, and transition planning tools needed to maximize practice value, strengthen EBITDA, and prepare for a successful and profitable practice sale or exit.

Prerequisites

This course is intended for dentists and dental group owners. While this course is not strictly clinical in nature, it contains advanced business, financial, and operational topics that are heavily targeted at those with practice ownership experience or those preparing for ownership transition.

How To Participate

The DOEC Webinar curriculum is identical in content to an in-person course. This course will be live for 1 hour and will earn you 1 credit hour for participation. A digital proof of completion will be sent via email at the time of completion.
